The Universal Milling Machine combines horizontal and vertical spindle capability in one workshop platform. This arrangement allows a broad range of operations to be completed without moving every job between separate machines, making it useful for toolrooms, maintenance departments, training facilities and general production workshops.
The PUM6436 range comprises PUM6436, PUM6436C and PUM6436CL models. All three use 7:24 ISO50 horizontal and vertical spindle tapers, carry a listed maximum table load of 350 kg and provide a 600 mm ram travel. An optional table swivel of +/-45 degrees supports suitable angular milling work.
Depending on the selected model, table lengths range from 1325 to 1600 mm and X-axis travel from 750 to 1300 mm. The listed vertical spindle range is 60-1750 rpm, while the horizontal spindle range is 60-1800 rpm, each arranged across 12 steps. Separate 4 kW vertical and 5.5 kW horizontal spindle motors support the two machining orientations.
Typical work can include face milling, slotting, keyway cutting, angular milling, drilling, boring, gear-related operations with suitable accessories, and machining of fixtures, maintenance components and small production batches.
