Overview

Product Overview

The Portable Welding and Boring Machine brings bore restoration directly to large or difficult-to-move equipment. It can be mounted across aligned bores so worn pin and bearing seats can be machined in position, reducing the need to dismantle and transport an entire component to a conventional workshop machine.

The PIBYSW range includes models for listed boring diameters from 45 to 700 mm. PIBYSW-50 and PIBYSW-60 also list bore-welding ranges, allowing worn bores to be built up before finish boring. This combined repair process is useful when rebuilding pivots, hinge points, bearing housings and related bores on construction, mining, agricultural and heavy industrial equipment.

Depending on the model, continuously variable spindle-speed ranges, stepping or servo torque and configurable stroke support different repair envelopes. The supplied specification lists machined-hole roundness of 0.02 mm or better across the range. Actual results depend on setup rigidity, bar support, bore condition, tooling, alignment, welding procedure and operator technique.

Model selection should be based on the original and finished bore diameters, bore length, number and spacing of aligned bores, available mounting area, parent material, required welding build-up, tolerance, surface finish, access restrictions and site power supply. Component drawings and photographs help determine the appropriate bar, bearing supports, tooling and welding configuration.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Portable Welding and Boring Machine used for?
It is used to repair worn, oversized or damaged bores directly on equipment. Selected models can weld material into the bore before it is accurately line bored back to the required diameter.
Which PIBYSW models are available?
The supplied range includes PIBYSW-40, PIBYSW-50, PIBYSW-60 and PIBYSW-90, covering different bore diameters, motor powers, torque values, strokes and voltage options.
What boring diameters does the range cover?
The listed ranges are 45-110 mm for PIBYSW-40, 55-170 mm for PIBYSW-50, 65-600 mm for PIBYSW-60 and 180-700 mm for PIBYSW-90.
Which models support bore welding?
The specification lists a 30-400 mm welding-hole range for PIBYSW-50 and a 30-600 mm range for PIBYSW-60. No welding range is listed for PIBYSW-40 or PIBYSW-90.
What machined-hole roundness is specified?
All four models list machined-hole roundness of 0.02 mm or better. Results depend on correct alignment, rigid mounting, tool selection, bore condition and operating technique.
Can the boring stroke be customized?
The sheet lists customizable stroke length for PIBYSW-50 and PIBYSW-60, with standard values of 300 mm and 500 mm respectively. Confirm the required bore length and support arrangement when ordering.
Where are portable line boring machines commonly used?
Typical applications include excavator and loader pivots, crane bores, mining machinery, agricultural equipment, bearing housings and other large components that are difficult to transport.
What information is needed to select the correct model?
Provide the current and finished bore diameters, bore length, bore spacing, material, required welding build-up, tolerance, site access, mounting photographs, available voltage and the component drawing where possible.
