Overview

Product Overview

The Floor Boring Machine is engineered for boring, milling, drilling and related machining of large components that cannot be accommodated conveniently on smaller conventional equipment. Its floor-type arrangement provides an extended working envelope around suitable beds, floor plates, rotary tables and auxiliary supports, allowing heavy workpieces to remain securely positioned while the column and spindle system perform the required movements.

The range includes PFBM-160RH and PFBM-200RH models with nominal spindle diameters of 160 mm and 200 mm. Milling spindle diameters are listed at 260 mm and 320 mm, with JT50/BT50 and JT60/BT60 shank options respectively. High main-motor output and maximum spindle torque support demanding cuts, while the 480 × 540 mm ram cross-section provides a substantial structure for controlled tool reach.

Configurable longitudinal and vertical travels allow the machine to be matched to large components. The PFBM-160RH lists 6000 mm X-axis travel with 2000 mm extension increments and Y-axis choices of 3000, 4000 or 5000 mm. The PFBM-200RH lists 8000 mm X-axis travel with the same extension increment and Y-axis choices from 4000 to 7000 mm. Both models list 1200 mm Z- and W-axis travels.

Typical applications include machine frames, fabricated structures, energy and process-equipment components, large gear housings, castings, dies, mould bases and general heavy-engineering parts. Final selection should be based on complete drawings, workpiece weight, support arrangement, required operations, tooling reach, accuracy, surface finish, material and production targets.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Floor Boring Machine used for?
It is used for suitable boring, milling, drilling and facing operations on large, heavy workpieces such as machine frames, housings, fabricated structures, castings, mould bases and process-equipment components.
Which Floor Boring Machine models are available?
The supplied range includes PFBM-160RH and PFBM-200RH models, named around their listed 160 mm and 200 mm boring-spindle diameters.
What is the difference between PFBM-160RH and PFBM-200RH?
PFBM-200RH provides a larger 200 mm spindle, 320 mm milling spindle, JT60/BT60 shank, higher motor power and torque, and greater listed X- and Y-axis travel options than PFBM-160RH.
What axis travels are provided?
PFBM-160RH lists 6000 mm X travel and 3000/4000/5000 mm Y options. PFBM-200RH lists 8000 mm X travel and 4000/5000/6000/7000 mm Y options. Both list 1200 mm Z and W travel.
Can the longitudinal travel be extended?
The supplied specification states that X-axis travel can be increased in 2000 mm increments. The required configuration should be confirmed during technical review.
What tooling interfaces are specified?
The PFBM-160RH lists JT50/BT50 shanks, while the PFBM-200RH lists JT60/BT60 shanks. Tooling must match the final supplied spindle configuration.
What positioning accuracy standard is referenced?
The specification references implementation standard GB/T 5289.3-2006 for positioning accuracy and repeatability. Acceptance conditions should be confirmed in the technical offer.
What information is required to select a Floor Boring Machine?
Provide complete workpiece drawings, dimensions and weight, material, required bores and machined surfaces, tolerances, finish, tooling reach, fixture or rotary-table needs, batch quantities and available site utilities.
