Overview

Product Overview

The ARC Welding range is designed for shielded metal arc welding, commonly known as STICK or MMA welding. An electric arc between a flux-coated electrode and the workpiece melts the joint area and electrode, while the flux provides shielding and slag protection during solidification.

Six models cover different production and portability needs. The range begins with the compact STICK 200 and extends through 250 A variants to STICK 400 and STICK 600. Listed minimum welding current is 20 A across all models, while maximum output ranges from 160 to 630 A.

Input configurations vary by model. STICK 200 and STICK 250S list 195–240 V single-phase input; STICK 250MV lists 195–240/370–440 V single/two-phase input; and the STICK 2503P, STICK 400 and STICK 600 group lists 370–440 V, three-phase, 50/60 Hz input. All models use forced-air cooling and Class H insulation.

Typical applications include fabrication, erection, repair, maintenance and general workshop welding of suitable ferrous materials with compatible electrodes and procedures. Select the model by electrode diameter, required current, duty requirements, base material, joint design, site supply and portability. Welding procedure qualification, ventilation, electrical protection and operator PPE remain essential.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ARC Welding used for?
ARC or STICK welding is used for suitable fabrication, erection, repair and maintenance work using a flux-coated consumable electrode and an electric arc.
Which models are included in this range?
The supplied range includes STICK 200, STICK 250S, STICK 250MV, STICK 2503P, STICK 400 and STICK 600.
What welding-current range is available?
All models list a 20 A minimum. Maximum current is 160 A for STICK 200, 250 A for the three STICK 250 variants, 400 A for STICK 400 and 630 A for STICK 600.
Which electrode sizes can be used?
Listed electrode ranges vary by model from 1.6–3.15 mm on STICK 200 up to 1.6–6.0 mm on STICK 400 and 2.5–6.0 mm on STICK 600.
Are single-phase and three-phase models available?
Yes. STICK 200 and 250S list single-phase input, STICK 250MV lists single/two-phase input, and STICK 2503P, 400 and 600 are listed with three-phase input.
How should the correct welder be selected?
Consider the base material, electrode type and diameter, welding current, joint design, expected duty cycle, site voltage, cable length, portability and applicable welding procedure.
What safety controls are required for arc welding?
Use an approved welding helmet and PPE, effective ventilation or fume extraction, correct earthing, electrical protection, fire controls, screens for nearby personnel and dry, undamaged cables and holders.
What information should be provided with an enquiry?
Provide base material and thickness, electrode type and diameter, joint type, required current, daily welding duration, site voltage and phase, portability needs, cable requirements and applicable procedure or quality standard.
